Thursday, May 17, 2012

Dear Parents and Students, Tuesday, May 22, we will begin our EOG tests. I would like for the students to dress for success. We will take reading on Tuesday, math on Wednesday and Thusday. Get plenty of rest and wear your best for success. I'm excited for you to show what you know. All students who attend all three days of testing will have a cookout at Dana Park on Friday. Testing will begin following breakfast. It would be great if you could be at school at 7:40 a.m.

We plotted our data

After we investigated how many cups were in a gallon we came back in a plotted our data. We discovered the reason why unit of measure matters. I was impressed with the students thinking and discussion.

How many cups in a gallon?

While you have tomorrow off from school ask your parents if you can explore cups, pints, quarts and gallons.

Welcome to Ms Blackwell's 1st Blog

Welcome Students,
Wow!  We can now post what we are learning so everyone can read about us.
Currently we are learning about all different types of graphs and drawing conclusions on each one.
Please look in magazines and newspapers to find graphs how people use them  in every day life.
